Towler & Staines the Calor Gas Principal Dealer in Bradford and Keighley have now been appointed agents for Hobbyweld MIG, TIG, Oxygen and Acetylene gases. There is no rental charge on Hobbyweld gas cylinders, you simply pay a one off deposit and then "pay as you go" for your gas refills. There are gas mixtures available for all forms of welding, cutting and brazing. If you are working with steel, aluminium or stainless steel the gas you need is available.

Towler & Staines stock Hobbyweld 5 for Carbon /mild steel up to 7mm, Hobbyweld 15 for Carbon/mild steel 7 to 15mm, Pure Argon for mild steel, aluminium or stainless steel, Oxygen and Acetylene. The Acetylene is supplied in a 5 litre cylinder and the other gases in 9 litre cylinders.
The one off deposit for these cylinders is just £65.

Towler & Staines have the heaters to warm large areas.

The forecast is for colder weather in the coming weeks and if you work or carry out hobby activities in larger spaces such as garages, workshops, larger shops and work stations in larger factories then Towler & Staines the Calor Gas Principal Dealer in Bradford and Keighley can offer solutions.We stock a range of propane powered blown air heaters. If you estimate the cube of the area you wish to heat our staff can recommend the right appliance for you. 

For large areas the Bullfinch 1400 Space Heater has an output varying from 17kW to 25kW, it does not need an electric fan it is simply propane powered using a cyclone effect to distribute the warmth.

There are also blown air heaters which do need electricity to power the fan but the heat comes from propane gas. Towler & Staines offer 4 models from Master. The BLP11 model gives a 10kW output which consumes 0.8kg of propane per hour. The Master BLP17 adjusts between 11 and 15kW output consuming 0.8 and 1.07kg of propane gas per hour. The Master BLP33 is adjustable between 18 and 33kW output and on the highest heat output consumes 2.4kg of propane gas per hour. The largest model is the Master 53 which adjusts between 33 and 52kW output and on the highest output consumes 3.78kg of propane gas per hour.

The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run was a great success. We have a link to the video.

1836 people registered and took part in the recent Great Skipton Santa Fun Run. A few boxes of unused Santa suits have been returned to the Towler & Staines warehouse ready to be issued for next year's event. We will learn at the end of February how much the Skipton Santa Fun raised for local charities. It is organised by Skipton Craven Rotary Club.

The fun run started and finished in Skipton main street for the first time and preceded the switching on of the Christmas lights. The day was a great success and two fun runners got married when they completed the course!

Calor innovation has recently improved the performance of their Automotive Gas in cylinders .
Magnatract Technology eliminates the risk of metal particles blocking the cylinder valve and the forklift truck's fuel injection system. Plastic Memory Dip Tubes have been introduced for flexibility which means they are not prone to fracture as steel dip tubes sometimes are.
