The 56th Keighley and District Agricultural Show is on Saturday 7th September at the Marley Sports Complex off Aireworth Road Keighley BD21 4DB. The special attractions include the chainsaw carver, Peter Leadbeater; flying displays from Cuerden Birds of Prey; Greenside Alpacas; West Yorkshire Mounted Police; Imaginarium-Seed with 10 minute street theatre shows; Haworth Band and Terrier Racing. Of course, all the usual agricultural show events will also be taking place.

Why Calor Patio Gas?

At Towler & Staines Ltd. the Calor Gas Principal Dealer in Bradford and Keighley we are frequently asked the question " why Calor Patio Gas?" So here is my answer.

In recent years gas barbecues are increasingly designed for propane gas, possibly because butane gas is not available for consumers in a number of countries including the USA and Canada. The original Calor Propane cylinders have a female threaded valve which requires a spanner to make a gas tight connection.

With the arrival of the Patio Heater and the increasing popularity of gas barbecues it was decided that a clip on regulator with a gas contents indicator was much more user friendly and, most importantly, safer. Hence the launch of Calor Patio Gas a few years ago which is propane gas with a clip on connection and a contents indicator. It is in a green and red cylinder and comes in two sizes: the 13kg which is ideal for Patio Heaters and larger barbecues (four burners and more); the 5kg which is suited to smaller barbecues and the recently introduced Grill 2 Go is specially designed to fit on it.

The clip on regulator is designed to pass a greater quantity of gas than the small propane regulator and is therefore suitable for even the largest barbecue or patio heater.
