Why should I use propane in winter for my caravan?

At Towler & Staines the LPG Specialists we are asked lots of questions from Calor Gas customers and so we have decided to write a series of blogs with our answers.

Why  should I use propane in winter for my caravan?

Butane gas ceases working at 0 degrees C whereas propane gas actually boils at -42 degrees C and will therefore always work in winter. The only real cost in making the change is the purchase of a new propane regulator. It is important to that the new regulator passes sufficient gas to power all the appliances in the caravan. Water heaters can consume a larger amount of gas than most other appliances.
