The 6kg Calor Lite Cylinder changes announced.

Calor Gas Ltd. have announced that they will no longer be investing in new stock of the 6kg Lite Cylinder. Apparently the demand for the standard 6kg Calor Propane cylinder continues to grow and the company have decided to make an investment in this cylinder of over £1 million this year.

The existing 6kg Calor Lite demand will be serviced using current cylinder stocks, although without new cylinders availability will be limited. Standard 6kg cylinders may be supplied on a free exchange if stocks of the Lite are not available.

The recall of 6kg Calor Lite cylinders manufactured between 2008 and 2011 is now closed. However, vouchers issued to customers during this will still be honoured. If the Lite is unavailable the standard 6kg refill will be offered.

Calor are currently undertaking market research with the aim of launching a new leisure / caravan cylinder designed with a number of consumer benefits in mind. In particular the weight of the new cylinder will be foremost in their development plan.
